Spaceman 03:27
Today I met a spaceman, who came down from the sky And when I met that spaceman, I had to ask him why? Why did he come so far and travel all this way? He said, what he had to tell us couldn’t wait another day He said that he’d been watching our planet now for years And when he started speaking, his eyes filled with tears He’d seen our planet slowly change from green to brown Let’s hope it’s not too late, to turn it all round…he said He said Why are we tearing down our beautiful trees? What are we doing to our rivers and seas? We need more space for the children to play Out of the shadows and the grey He said We must turn the clock back before it’s too late Our planet needs help it just can’t wait We must teach our children how to make The whole world green again If we care enough to make the world a better place We have to change our ways, for the sake of the human race We won’t give up and we must stand side by side Today is the day, we must decide He said Why are we tearing down our beautiful trees? What are we doing to our rivers and seas? We need more space for the children to play Out of the shadows and the grey He said We must turn the clock back before it’s too late Our planet needs help it just can’t wait We must teach our children how to make The whole world green again Today I met a spaceman who came down from the sky And when I met that spaceman I had to ask him – why?

Turn off the water, turn off the lights When you brush your teeth and you go to sleep at night How about walking if it’s not very far Or jump on the bus, you don’t have to go by car Don’t let the rain go gushing down the drains You can catch it in a bucket, you can use it all again Natural resources are in very short supply Water paper, oil and electricity Reduce – oh yeah Bottles and containers, plastic bags and clothes can be reused Glass and plastic, organic waste and tins These are things that go into recycling bins Reduce, reuse, recycle if you want to be green Reduce reuse recycle if you want to be green Sort out the toys and the clothes you never wear There are charity shops, there are summer fairs Old or worn doesn’t mean it’s for the bin Think once think twice before you throw it in Don’t let the rain go gushing down the drains You can catch it in a bucket, you can use it all again Natural resources are in very short supply Water paper, oil and electricity Reduce – oh yeah Bottles and containers, plastic bags and clothes can be reused Glass and plastic, organic waste and tins These are things that go into recycling bins Reduce, reuse, recycle if you want to be green Reduce reuse recycle if you want to be green Well you’ve got to reduce And you’ve got to reuse And you’ve got to recycle To keep the whole world green Well you’ve got to reduce And you’ve got to reuse And you’ve got to Reduce reuse recycle If you want to be green Reduce reuse recycle If you want to be green

Every little drop in the ocean is a drop that matters and counts And every little grain of rice, adds up to a larger amount No good thinking there’ll always be Plenty of fish in the sea Let’s think about the future now, and how we want it to be Nothing lasts forever, that’s why we need to conserve It’s time to show our beautiful planet, the respect that she deserves So many mouths to feed We shouldn’t take more than we need Let’s think about the future now, and how we want it to be Do you ever hear the planet cry? Do you ever stop and wonder why? Show the world you have a heart Together we can do our part What if all the water runs dry There are some things that money can’t buy There’s so much more, that we can do And now it’s up to me and you We could use more energy from the wind and the sun and the rain We must learn to never make the same mistakes again No more cutting the forests down No more mountains of waste Let’s talk about the future now Before it’s too late Let’s talk about the future now Before it’s too late

Plastic 03:26
Long time ago Over one hundred years ago The very first plastic came to be Little did they know Just how far things would go Changing the world so drastically They couldn’t get enough Of this fancy stuff Goodbye metal and wood Anything was possible It soon became unstoppable But not everything about plastic was good Well isn’t it fantastic What we’ve made with plastic Polystyrene, PVC and Lycra We could not exist Without substances like this Silicon and Teflon and Formica Improving our lifestyle Practical and versatile Laminate acetate acrylic We made it indispensible But was that really sensible? Do we want a world made out of plastic Defying tradition No longer science fiction The very fabric of modern day life Makeable, unbreakable, non-biodegradable Plastic waste is not a pretty sight Although economical It’s made out of chemicals Quick to produce and to multiply But with mass production Comes eco-destruction And everybody seems to turn a blind eye The trouble with plastic is it won’t go away When it’s buried in the ground it does not decay Making its way into rivers and seas Spreading around like infectious diseases There’s nearly more plastic than fish in the ocean How do we stop this plastic explosion? Not enough is being done And it’s become A global catastrophe
